FIRST DECISIONS

Three Decisions to Make Before You Start Building

Before you open the editor, answer these three questions. Your answers shape everything else — your timeline, your costs, and how quickly you go live.

DIY or done for you

DIY or Done for You?

If you want control and flexibility, the Kaboomasite editor lets you build and manage your site on your own schedule. If you'd rather focus on your business, Kaboom Web Design can design and launch your site professionally — starting at $147 per page.

Plan your page count

Plan Your Page Count

Most small business sites launch with 5 to 7 pages: Home, About, Services, Contact, and one or two supporting pages. Start lean and add pages as your business grows. Each professional design page is priced at $147.

Pick a starting template

Pick a Starting Template

Kaboomasite offers professional website templates organized by business type — local services, professional services, restaurants, real estate, coaches, ecommerce, and general business. Choose one as your foundation and customize from there.

CONTENT & DOMAIN

Prepare Your Content and Connect Your Domain

Good content and a connected domain are the two things that separate a website in progress from a real business presence. Here's what to gather before you publish.

What Content Should You Prepare?

Your Services or Products: List every service or product you offer with a short description. This becomes the foundation for your services pages, and it helps with search visibility.

Business Basics: Collect your business name, address, phone number, email, hours of operation, and service area. These details appear throughout your site and in search results.

Images and Media: Gather your logo, any photos of your business, team, or work, and any brand images you own. Avoid low-resolution files. Stock imagery is also available within the platform.

Your Story and Credentials: Write a short About paragraph, note any licenses, certifications, or years in business, and identify any trust signals — awards, affiliations, or testimonials you have permission to use.

Connecting Your Domain

Your domain is your website address — for example, yourbusiness.com. If you already own a domain, Kaboomasite supports domain connection through standard DNS settings. If you need a domain, you can register one through Kaboom Domains.

Once your domain is connected, your SSL certificate activates automatically. SSL secures your site with the padlock icon visitors expect and is required for search engine trust.

Domain connection is included in your $47 monthly platform. The domain registration itself is a separate annual cost managed through your domain registrar.

Mobile, SEO, and Publishing — the Final Steps Before Going Live

Before you click publish, run through these three steps. They take less than an hour and make a real difference in how your site looks and how it gets found.

01

Check Your Site on Every Device

Use the Kaboomasite editor's built-in device preview to see exactly how your site looks on desktop, tablet, and mobile screens. Most visitors will find you on a phone — make sure your navigation, text, images, and buttons all display cleanly. Fix any layout issues before publishing.

02

Set Up Your SEO Basics

For each page, write a unique SEO title and meta description that describes what the page covers and who it's for. Add an H1 heading, check that your images have descriptive alt text, and confirm your business name and location appear naturally in your content. Kaboomasite's AI-powered SEO tools can guide you through improvement opportunities.

03

Publish and Test Live

When your content is ready and your domain is connected, use the publish function to take your site live. After publishing, visit your site from a browser and a phone, test every button and link, submit your sitemap to Google Search Console, and verify your SSL padlock is active. Your site is now live and indexed.
